Present Tense เป็นประโยคแบบปัจจุบัน ใช้กริยาช่องที่ 1 จะเติม s กรณีประธานเป็นเอกพจน์ เช่น He says, )
Direct Speech :He says, "I like Sara." เขาพูด, "ฉันชอบซาร่า"

Future Tense เป็นประโยคแบบอนาคต ใช้ Will + กริยาช่องที่ 1 เช่น Tom will say...
Direct Speech : Tom will say to me, "I like Sara." ทอมจะพูดกับฉัน, "ฉันชอบซาร่า"
Indirect Speech : Tom will tell me that he likes Sara. ทอมจะบอกฉันว่า เขาชอบซาร่า

การเปลี่ยนประโยค Direct Speech แบบ Present Tense เป็นประโยค Indirect Speech

Direct Speech :He says, "I like Sara." เขาพูด, "ฉันชอบซาร่า"

Indirect Speech :He says that he likes Sara. เขาพูดว่า เขาชอบซาร่า

คำอธิบายเพิ่มเติม : การเปลี่ยนประโยค Direct Speech แบบ Present Tense เป็นประโยค Indirect Speech กริยานำจะเป็นช่องที่ 1 เติม s (say เป็น says) หากประธานเป็นเอกพจน์ (He) ส่วนสรรพนาม I จะเปลี่ยนเป็น he และกริยา like ต้องเติม s เพราะ he เป็นเอกพจน์

Direct Speech :He says, "I am eating breakfast." เขาพูด, "ฉันกำลังทานอาหารเช้า"

Indirect Speech :He says that he is eating breakfast."เขาพูดว่า เขากำลังทานอาหารเช้า

Indirect Speech : He says that he has eaten breakfast. เขาพูดว่า เขาได้ทานอาหารเช้าแล้ว
